Phibro rCB Enhances Shipping Efficiency with Natchez Rail Line Upgrade
In April 2025, Phibro rCB and Natchez Railway completed a significant rail line upgrade in Natchez, Mississippi, enhancing the transportation efficiency of recycled materials from end-of-life tires.
Phibro rCB – (the former Delta Energy technology and site), a Natchez-based company (Mississippi, USA) that employs proprietary technology to convert end-of-life tires into renewable carbon black and renewable oils – had completed a significant rail infrastructure upgrade in partnership with Natchez Railway. The enhanced rail access will improve transportation of the company’s main products: carbon black and tire pyrolysis oil.
Acquired by Phibro rCB in early 2024, the Natchez facility employs over 50 people and is poised for expansion. The new rail connection will support the company’s efforts to scale production and reduce emissions by shifting more logistics from road to rail.
Natchez Railway, a short line connecting Natchez to Brookhaven and the national rail network, upgraded the lead track in collaboration with local and state agencies.
“This new rail access helps us scale production and reduce our carbon footprint,” said Fabrizio Zichichi, Managing Partner at Phibro rCB.
