Asian Innovation Award by Dow Jones for Tyre Pyrolysis Innovation

Tokyo, Japan - Klean Industries Inc. (“Klean”) today announced that it was nominated for the Asian Innovation Awards 2011 by Dow Jones & The Wall Street Journal. The Asian Innovation Awards are committed to finding the following big ideas in Asia, from entirely new inventions to the advancement of a classic. Entries to The Asian Innovation Awards come from individuals, small businesses, large corporations, or academia in Asia Pacific. An independent panel of judges has been selected by The Wall Street Journal Asia to judge this year’s entries. 

The leading criteria for judging are:

  • Level of creativity or degree of innovation,
  • Quality of execution and,
  • Potential impact on quality of life or productivity.

As per sources, Klean got to partake in this event through a formal invitation from Ms. Eva Yim, the Assistant Marketing Manager of Dow Jones Publishing Company, Asia. It was an outstanding achievement for the corporation to get the invitation based on its performance in many creative National Events like Wastetech Japan, Globe 2010, and many more. Also, the company’s R&D department in Chemical Engineering is backed by leading intellect mentors who support the students in excelling in the field of Research and Development in the future.

The Asian Innovation Awards 2011, presented by The Wall Street Journal Asia in partnership with Credit Suisse AG, will honor finalists from Asia Pacific. The Asian Innovation Awards, which attracted nearly 300 entries from 13 countries and territories throughout Asia Pacific, are committed to finding Asia’s following big technological ideas. Finalist entries range from a new water purification system to a new mobile platform for farmers to enable them to share crop data. 

Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners will be honored as part of a ‘Conversations with Innovators of the World’ event staged by Credit Suisse at the Four Seasons in Hong Kong in October and featuring such distinguished guests as The Rt. Hon. Sir John Major, former U.K. Prime Minister and senior adviser to Credit Suisse; Miss Janet Wong, Hong Kong’s Commissioner for Innovation and Technology and Mr. Andrew Lai, Deputy Commissioner for Innovation and Technology.
