Klean Industries has developed a pioneering process for producing nanocarbons from waste tires and scrap rubber, including graphene-like structures and carbon nanotubes. This breakthrough advances the circular economy by transforming difficult-to-recycle materials into high-value nanomaterials used in electronics, batteries, coatings, and advanced composites, all while reducing emissions and landfill dependence.
Vancouver, Canada – Klean Industries Inc. (“Klean”), a vertically-integrated Industrial Energy Solutions Company focused on turning waste streams into domestic energy, sustainable green commodities & new jobs. Klean has commenced full-scale production of nanocarbons and has formed Klean Carbon, which will supply advanced nanocarbons. These specialty Nano Carbon materials will be marketed worldwide through Klean Carbon’s new e-procurement web portal, www.kleancarbon.com.
Klean, with its patented technology, is producing high-grade nanotubes and fullerenes from feedstock derived from tire pyrolysis facilities. The Japanese technology was developed through over 35 years of collaborative research in nanomaterials. These significant advancements made the company the first to commercially mass-produce Nanocarbons from scrap tires. Using advanced thermal treatment technology, the Klean Team has been developing facilities that process more than 250 tonnes per day of high-carbon-content feedstock into nanomaterials.
Jesse Klinkhamer, Klean’s CEO, said, “We take the carbonized materials and pass it through a multi-stage process unique to Klean that removes any impurities using patented technologies. The materials we produce will provide the industry with high-quality nano commodities that can significantly reduce product manufacturing costs and the environmental footprint of such products while also increasing product durability and improving manufacturing efficiencies simultaneously.”
Klean Carbon’s products have been used in many industrial applications, including advanced resins, flexible film packaging applications, solar power films, nano plastics, advanced rubber compounds, touch screen devices, and industrial and performance coatings. The nanomaterials provide improved thermal, mechanical, tensile, or protective properties compared to traditional industrial materials.
Klean research laboratories are now working on the next generation of nanomaterials for applications such as nano-alloys, nano-laminated films, and packaging films with extreme durability. “Nanotechnology is one of the most important advancements of the coming decade and is critical to the evolution of our environmental sustainability,” said Dr. Hiroyuki, Head of Development.
Klean Carbon invites potential customers who can benefit from using its nanomaterials to contact it for a trial sample via its website, www.kleancarbon.com. Klean Carbon is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Klean Industries Inc.
